October 21, 2024 – Unincorporated areas of Flagler County may start to see Hurricane Milton vegetative debris pickup as early as today (Monday). Work is scheduled to begin in the publicly maintained right of ways along the John Anderson and Old Kings Road corridors.
In general, the plan is to pick up vegetative materials in the eastern areas of the county – coastal and inland – and work westward. This will allow additional time for the west side residents who were subjected to prolonged periods of flooding in the western reaches of Flagler County to bring their vegetative debris curbside, as the water has not receded enough in some areas for them to do so now.
The pickup may take a few weeks, and the schedule will be dynamic and likely change dependent on the contractor progress area by area. Additional details will be released as they become available.
