The Adams Cameron Foundation with Hayward Brown Insurance Flagler, Inc. and Politis and Matovina are proud to sponsor the fifth annual upcoming Christmas in July fundraiser to benefit Christmas Come True. The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 12th at 6:30pm at the Palm Coast Elks Lodge. This year’s event will host a dinner and a comedy magic show, featuring headliner Mark Alan and MC and comedy from Cristy B, along with a silent auction.
Motivated by the leadership of Adams Cameron agent Ron Harlow, this is one of many fundraising events held throughout the year to benefit the non-profit charity, Christmas Come True. The mission of Christmas Come True is to provide parents, unable to financially afford a traditional Christmas experience for their families, a customized Christmas dinner, new clothing, & age appropriate toys/gifts for each child.
Started in 2009 by Executive Director, Nadine King, Christmas Come True works solely with volunteers and generous donations from local businesses to help Flagler County families in need. Because this 501c3 organization is not government funded, the charity is supported entirely by generous donations. Over the past fifteen years, Christmas Come True has helped more than 1668 families and over 4727 children. Each family receives a personalized Christmas dinner and each child receives new clothing, toys, gifts and a Christmas stocking filled with goodies, age-appropriate hygiene items and any special needs items.
After volunteering with Christmas Come True, Harlow felt inspired to put together “Christmas in July”, a fundraising event with all proceeds directly benefiting the charity. “Today’s economy makes it tough on many families to provide the Christmas experience they would like. Our Palm Coast agents have been involved directly with “Distribution Day” when the gifts and food are delivered to the families. It’s very heartwarming to see the joy on the parent’s faces when we load their vehicles with food and gifts.” Ron Harlow says.
